Fic Status

There is no new fic this week. I have been chipping away at several projects- notably multiple Love-Zapped stories, the next Muffin Stove, and a wee bit of Strawberry Fields- but nothing is polished and ready for presentation. Sorry. (And mucho apologies to , because she's gonna get one very belated birthday present. Hey, JTHM fans, go read her fic, damnit!)

Fannish Babble

This week I rewatched select episodes of "Static Shock" and "Batman Beyond". Inque reigns supreme in my mind as one of the creepiest villains ever- she poured her own body down Terry's throat. My brain never misinterprets that, it just pops when it happens.

A great line to take out of context, from the "Static Shock" episode "Attack of the Living Brain Puppets":

Static: Richie?
Madlyn: Yes, Richie. And the varsity football team.

Tell me, where did your brain go with that one?

Duae and I have determined that Nathan Explosion is Kevin 11's real father, he just doesn't know it. I think Nathan would be proud of his son, but he is kind of an idiot. Cookie if you have any idea what I'm talking about.

Life Updates

Good news for me- I got a promotion! Sadly, I will not be getting paid more, but I will be trained to moonlight as a supervisor when necessary- which is a big step to becoming a supervisor full time and getting paid more. And then maybe Miss Ra can afford some at-home Internet- that or more random crap from eBay. They never made a Static action figure, did they?

For my birthday (which was in November- like I said, I don't do this enough!), TheDarkLordKeisha gave me some man-candy. And by that, I mean grown-up Dib wrapped in a bow.
